As Director of Events for The Absinthe Group, Kat Womer collaborates with the teams at the group’s five unique restaurants to plan private events and off-site catering. Previously a Floor Manager at The Absinthe Group’s Bellota, Kat is now responsible for Absinthe Private Dining, Arlequin Café’s catering program, events at Barcino, and Bellota’s semi-private dining room and buyout options.
Born in Baltimore and later raised in Texas, Kat is a graduate of the University of Washington who moved to the Bay Area in 2013. She got her start in the hospitality industry as a cocktail server during college, and later became a bartender at Twenty Five Lusk in SoMa. It was at Twenty Five Lusk that Kat took an interest in event planning, aiding with event coordination and program management. In 2016, Kat was hired as a Floor Manager at Bellota, where she created and developed the in-house event program. At the start of 2017, The Absinthe Group hired Kat as the Director of Events for the restaurant group’s five individual venues.
In her role as Director of Events, Kat is committed to The Absinthe Group’s high quality of service and delights in every opportunity to help guests celebrate and create their personal events. In her free time, Kat enjoys spending time in Golden Gate Park, hiking in the Bay Area, and of course, partaking in delicious food and drink.
